Dutch Central Bank license
Under the Supervision of Trust Offices Act (“Wet toezicht trustkantoren / Wtt”), it is prohibited to carry on the business of a trust office from a Netherlands-based establishment without a license. The Wtt states that the Dutch Central Bank (“DCB”) is responsible for supervising and licensing trust offices.
On 17 May 2011 the Dutch Central Bank granted DTS a license allowing DTS to start with its activities. As a result DTS is now included in the register of licensed Trust Offices of the Dutch Central Bank [click here for register]
How can we be sure that DTS Dutch Trust Services B.V. is a reputable company?
Only trust offices complying with the statutory requirements on the trustworthiness and expertise of persons who determine policy at a trust office, and with the requirements concerning operations and organisation, will receive a license from DCB. DTS received such a license from the Dutch Central Bank and is included in DCB’s public register (click this link for the register).
